Two years ago, a report issued by Milliman Inc. found that out‐of‐network visits for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services were dramatically increasing. A similar report issued Nov. 20 by the same research firm found that disparities in network use and provider reimbursement have worsened. Field observers, expressing both surprise and disappointment, call the new report a “wake‐up call” for all stakeholders to turn this situation around.
