Psychologists to see payment increases for health services under Medicare

Psychologists have secured an important win for patients, the community and their respective practices following the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS's) support of a new coding structure for Health and Behavior Assessment and Intervention (HBAI) services for providing care for Medicare patients. Beginning Jan. 1, 2020, psychologists will receive higher payments for providing treatment to Medicare patients with physical health conditions.
