Four thousand psychologists, therapists and other medical professionals are striking at Kaiser Permanente facilities across California Nov. 11–15 to demand that the health maintenance organization demonstrate good faith and fix its broken mental health system that leaves patients waiting up to three months for therapy appointments and therapists overwhelmed with crushing caseloads, according to a news release from the National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW).
