Depression screening not warranted for certain heart patients

Although clinicians have engaged in the current practice of treating coronary heart disease survivors by screening them for depression, a new study published in JAMA Internal Medicine has found that patients screened for depression did not see any benefits. The study's findings call into question the current policy to screen these patients for depression.
