Although interest in spiritually integrated therapy has grown substantially over the past two decades, few clinical methods exist for providing that kind of treatment to patients with acute psychiatric conditions, say the authors of a new study in the September issue of the American Journal of Psychotherapy . The study finds that the integration of spirituality and religion with mental health treatment can benefit patients.
