In an ongoing push to pressure Kaiser Permanente to provide timely mental health care access to patients, the union representing Kaiser's nearly 4,000 mental health clinicians on July 16 launched a digital ad campaign. The move follows the clinicians' rejection of a contract proposal by the insurer, and a separate strike in San Francisco earlier this month to address long wait times for children needing care for mental health disorders.
