In an effort to address disparities in accessing mental health care and provide a consistent set of uniform services across the commonwealth for Virginians, Gov. Ralph Northam announced March 14 that all 40 Community Services Boards (CSBs) can provide Same Day Access (SDA) to anyone in need of a mental health evaluation. Consumers can now access walk‐in hours at any CSB without an appointment, rather than wait days or weeks to receive an assessment.
