The mandated and sudden closing of a national system of for‐profit colleges has left hundreds of students across the country in limbo, including psychology students close to completing their degrees. Citing the students' imminent graduation and their need to enter the workforce to provide mental health care and address the opioid crisis, the American Psychological Association (APA) has called on Congress and the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) to intervene.
