Recent trends indicate a rise in nonmedical use of prescription stimulant medications in adult patients with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The nonmedical use of these medications, whether oral or non‐oral, carries risk for serious adverse medical outcomes, according to new data addressing both of these issues, released this month.
