The persistence of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) to adulthood has been linked to a nearly 13 percent reduction in estimated life expectancy, according to the first study to employ health and lifestyle factors for estimating life expectancy in children and adults with ADHD. The research signals the need for more awareness of ADHD as a broader public health issue, said researchers.
