Observing a need to hire more clinicians to provide timely, appropriate care to patients with mental illness, many of whom have to wait four, six and even eight weeks for return visits, is the thrust behind a five‐day strike by Kaiser Permanente mental health clinicians across California. The strike, which commenced Dec. 10, entered its fourth day as MHW went to press.
