Creating a model of care based on a trauma‐informed approach to provide an alternative to restraint and seclusion for at‐risk and high‐risk children and adults proved to be the best approach for one behavioral health facility's ability to reduce restraint and completely eliminate seclusion, according to program officials. The results of the approach are published in Advances in Neurodevelopmental Disorders .
