The enhanced subject representation improves the performance in retrieving relevant records via keyword searching in conjunction with subject headings (controlled vocabulary). The effectiveness of two types of subject representation‐TOC (notes) and LCSH‐ in subject search for books and images was investigated within an OPAC system. Our poster will report findings regarding user queries and retrieval effectiveness of keyword searching via two different modes. The findings have implications for subject access point enhancement on bibliographic records.
