Three cases of postencephalitic parkinsonism that were originally described by Kinnier Wilson are reviewed and some general comments made upon their presentation. A differential diagnosis that might now be appropriate in the 21 st Century is given, in the light of recent literature on the topic and so‐called “sporadic” cases. © 2011 Movement Disorder Society
