This paper examines problems which arise on the work‐side of the wage‐work bargain because the input of effort, time and necessary qualifications for jobs are not clearly defined in employment contracts. The paper looks at bargaining processes and the problems which are connected with these aspects, for instance, the existence of poor output and attendance standards but also those of overload in the expected input of effort, time and efficient performance.
