All composite models contain the E‐modulus or the tenacity of the reinforcing fibres. Therefore the exact measurement of the fibre properties is the essential prerequisite to achieve an agreement between the theoretical approaches and the practical results. Here some special problems in the fibre testing of natural fibres are discussed.
