This research work was carried out to find the optimum conditions for anodic sampling of steels, aluminium alloys, brass etc. It was found using electrolyte: the water solution of ammon‐nitrat (1 g/l) and hydrochloric acid (conc.) in volume ratio 1:1, give the best results if the duration of electrochemical process was 45 s and D.C. current was 4.5 V. The elements which are sampled were datected by thin layer chromatography and optical emission spectrometry.
