Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) is a technique for producing structural parts under temperatures and pressures in a special sort of a sintering process. HIP is on one hand a forming technique, on the other hand a densifying technique HIP can also be used for diffusion welding especially for metal and ceramic composites.
