A refutation of the criticisms expressed in the paper entitled “Evolution of Chain Microstructure and Kinetics of Reaching Equilibrium in Living Reversible Copolymerization” by R. Szymanski, S. Sosnowski, and M. Cypryk ( Macromol. Theory Simul . 2016 , 25 , 196) about the article entitled “Kinetics and Thermodynamics of First‐Order Markov Chain Copolymerization” ( J. Chem. Phys . 2014 , 141 , 044908) is presented here. With this aim, a comparison is made between reversible living copolymerization processes taking place in either closed or open reactors.
