Re‐analysis of transesterification in PET/PEN blends gave access to rate constants of segmental exchange. Accounting statistical factors allows a correct prediction of evolution of copolymer microstructure in the reaction mixture. The final product exhibits a slight increase of homo‐dyads in comparison to random copolymer what stems from the ratio of the corresponding rate constants being equal to 1.7.
