Cover: Photechemical decomposition of 2,2‐dimethoxy‐2‐phenyl acetophenone (DMPA) leads to the formation of benzoyl and methyl radicals. Reactivity of these radical species as initiator fragments in the free radical polymerization of different monomers, such as acrylonitrile and styrene, is studied using quantum chemistry.
