Cover: Polymers in the shells of two resin particles, stationary at a close distance, relax to an entangled equilibrium state. When the particles next move to a larger distance the entangled polymers give rise to transient attractive forces. These forces have no influence on the static properties of the system, but to a large extent determine its rheological properties.
