Polymeric products design and manufacturing is a complex industrial process that combines elements of chemical composition of plastics with injection modeling technology designed to optimize economic and technical parameters. A number of risks can disrupt the proper execution of the works and consequently alter the technical and economic objectives. In this paper the results of research regarding expert system for polymeric products design and manufacturing are presented. This system determines the level of risk of the different execution stages by risk identification and qualitative assessment through a series of predefined questions and hypothetical answers.
