The steady state studies of fluorescence quenching of excitation energy of heterocyclic compound namely 2‐isopropylphenyl boronic acid (2IPBA) by aniline quencher was carried out in 1,4‐dioxane (DX), toluene (TL), methanol (ML), heptane (HP), nonane (NN), butanol (BL), and propanol (PL) solvents with a view to understand the role of diffusion in the quenching mechanism. The quenching process is studied in the selected solvents using steady state method by linear S‐V plots.
