Summary An example how to benchmark magnetic composites made of LSR, Liquid Silicone Rubber and magnetic filler for a potential application is given. A characteristic degree of filling was revealed appearing in viscosity, density and magnetic permeability investigations, consistently. A simple model is proposed to describe the magnetic permeability as a function of the degree of filling requiring only one adjustable parameter.
