Summary The transition from the early applications of click chemistry in organic synthesis and biotechnology to materials synthesis was profoundly marked by the pioneering preparation of metal‐adhesive polymers based on the copper (I)‐catalyzed cycloaddition reaction between azides and alkynes. Herein, it is summarized a fascinating journey from the original discovery, made more than a decade ago, until the recent development of high‐strength electrically conductive adhesives.
