Summary Stepwise isothermal Segregation Technique (SIST) has been applied to three random C 3 C 2 copolymers to study its ability to distinguish among different microstructures. Notwithstanding the application of the same SIST procedure, the final obtained melting profiles are different reveling that sample microstructures are dissimilar and respond differently to the applied thermal treatments. WAXS analysis highlighted that the nature of crystallity is not influenced by SIST treatment. On the other hand, SAXS analysis revealed different lamellae morphologies in the samples induced by thermal treatments.
