Summary Morphological changes of large‐size semicrystalline polyethylene samples induced by different procedures such as annealing, aging, deformation, and interaction with solvents have been investigated non‐destructively by single‐sided NMR. The results are summarized and problems encountered in the characterisation of these polymer materials and the opportunities opened up by this innovative analytical method are discussed.
