Thioether Derivatives of Carbosilane Dendrimers of Lower Generations: Synthesis and Complexation with CuCl 2

Novel carbosilane dendrimers containing thioether groups were synthesized. The possibility of using these compounds as ligands for complexation with transition metal salts, in particular with CuCl 2 , was investigated. The average maximum numbers of Cu 2+ ions that can be encapsulated within sulfur containing polymers and dendrimers were estimated.
