Gel‐type Supported Ionic Liquid‐like Phases ( g ‐SILLPs) have been employed as medium for the preparation of Palladium carbene (Pd‐NHC) complexes. These supported complexes onto ionic liquid‐like phases were employed as catalysts for the phosphine‐ , copper‐ and amine‐free Sonogashira reaction showing excellent activity and selectivity. The loading and nature of the ionic liquid‐like moieties have proved to have an effect in the reactivity of the different Pd‐NHC‐ g ‐SILLPs prepared, with TOF values ranging from 450 to 25000 h −1 .
