Cover: The 41st International Symposium on Macromolecules, MACRO 2006, was held on July 16–21 in the city of Rio de Janeiro and brought together 467 participants from Brazil and 653 from other 50 countries. A total of 1311 papers, 138 invited lectures, 222 oral contributed talks and 667 posters were presented in 13 sessions of the Congress.
