Abstract A series of new phospholipid polyurethanes with hydrogenated poly (isoprene) glycol and 4, 4'‐methylenediphenyl diisocyanate was synthesized using 2‐[bis(2‐hydroxyethyl)methylammonio]ethylalkylphosphate and 1, 4‐butanediol as chain extender. The polyurethanes exhibited favorable haemocompatibilities and excellent mechanical characteristics.
