New polymers with chiral carbons and with rod‐like mesogenic units being stringed at waist (as the “kebabs”) by the main‐chain (as the “shish” or “skewer”) were synthesized and studied. All the chiral polymers are optically highly active and have strong tendency of nematic phase formation.
