A new concept for tailoring polyamide or polyester / polyamide alloys containing core shell particles has been developed. This alloy technology is based on the combination of one polyester and one polyamide (or two polyamides) of different melting points and a rubbery ethylene ‐ acrylic ester ‐ glycidyl methacrylate terpolymer. Optimum properties are a function of compounding temperature profile. Resulting alloys offer a good balance of flexibility, toughness and dispersed phase morphology stability.
