Conformationally rigid block copolymers prepared by alkyllithium‐initiated polymerization of vinyl arenes, by molybdenum amide catalyzed ring‐opening metathesis polymerization of chromophore‐labeled norbornenes, and by nickel catalyzed polymerization of functionalized isonitriles are described. Steady state and time‐resolved spectroscopic methods have been employed as tools for the structural characterization of these polymers and for studying the kinetics of long distance electron transfer.
