Polymer Dispersions are solving many problems of daily life. Nearly everybody is using them as an essential part of waterborn paints, adhesives, paper coating etc. For scientists, polymer dispersions are of growing interest. In this contribution a model for the film formation mechanism is proposed which is based on neutron scattering (SANS), mechanical measurements, and modelling of polymer dispersions.
