The role of reactive extrusion (REX) appears more and more important in the future industry of polymeric materials. This process involves the design of special equipments and sofisticated process monitoring systems to allow complex chemical reactions and diversificated additivation at same time. In this paper, after a description of a specialized equipment designed for REX processing, some examples of experimental studies carried out using this line, are shortly addressed.
