A comprehensive study of initiation and propagation steps of norbornene oligomerization initiated by WC1 6 /Me 4 Sn in the presence of unsaturated diesters, was carried out. Kinetic orders, apparent rate constants and thermodynamic parameters were determined. Given the experimental results, a mechanism of both initiation and propagation reactions is proposed.
