Transverse nuclear magnetization properties of protons are investigated during the gelation of short poly(dimethylsiloxane) chains. Both the kinetics of the reaction and the amount of the gel fraction are characterized. The sol and gel fractions are distinguished “in situ” during the whole process by performing pseudo‐solid spin‐echoes and through a simple analysis of the relaxation shape.
