The enthalpies of the interaction between PVC or its copolymers and different fillers introduced into the polymerization mass were estimated by the microcalorimetric techniques. For highly filled compounds, the strength of the polymer ‐ filler interaction depends on the chemical nature of both components. The determination of the interaction enthalpy makes it possible to choose a polymeric cover providing for the best interaction and to calculate the lowest amount of the polymer covering entirely the filler surface.
