Isocyanate blocking agents use in polyurethane processing

Difunctional isocyanates blocked with ϵ‐caprolactam and oximes are tested as curing agents in poly‐(urethane‐ureas) prepregs formulations. With ϵ‐caprolactam blocking agent the temperature of dissociation is around 20–40°C higher than with 2‐butanone oxime. Polymerizable blocking agents are proposed for the development of thick pieces. Simultaneous interpenetrating polymer networks are prepared and their morphology and physical properties are investigated using different technics.
