Poly(oxytrimethyleneoxyterephthaloyl) (PTMT), poly(oxytrimethyleneoxytrimethyleneoxyterephthaloyl) (PTMTMT) and two copolymers derived from them have been studied by the use of a dynamic viscoelastometer. The four polymers show three relaxations α, β and γ in the temperature range between −150 and 200 °C. The α relaxation is the glass transition of the polymers, the β relaxation normally occurs in the vicinity of −70 °C, and the γ relaxation, usually overlapped by the β one, takes place at temperatures around −120 °C. The influence of the thermal history on the nature, location and intensity of the three relaxations is discussed.
