Piezoelectric polymers, poly(vinylidene cyanide‐co‐vinyl acetate), poly(vinylidene cyanide‐co‐vinyl benzoate), and related polymers were characterized with the aids of NMR on the following items: copolymer composition stereoregularity conformation segmental motion. In a series of the above items, the most significant difference was found in segmental motion between piezoelectric and non‐piezoelectric polymers; larger segmental mobility may be essential for poling process, while smaller mobility is convenient for the maintaining of piezoelectricity after poling.
