The dynamics of concentration fluctuations in compatible polymer mixtures can be investigated by dynamic light scattering. The experiment yields both the dynamic and static structure factors from which the mutual diffusion coefficient and the segment‐segment interaction parameter can be obtained. Examples of applications are the unentangled blends poly(ethylene oxide/poly(propylene oxide) and polystyrene/poly(phenylmethylsiloxane) in the one phase region.
