The National Labor Relations Board has once again saved the life of a giant prop unions use to attract attention to alleged unfair labor practices. The Board ruled that it is lawful for a union to use a gigantic 12‐foot inflatable rat near a targeted employer's work site even when the targeted company is not directly involved in a labor dispute. “It turns out that inflatable rodents may be as unstoppable as their living, breathing cousins,” commented The New York Times in its report of the case.
