Students of human resources management are all‐too‐familiar with employee turnover metrics. Low turnover equates to lower recruiting expenses, less need to engage in hiring trials and tribulations, less initial training, and the list goes on. Management theory places great value on low employee turnover… for significant reasons. Longer term employees tend to show more of a commitment to the workplace and, all other things being equal, employment satisfaction.
