Employers have many choices when deciding on their best union campaign tactics. The collective bargaining process can be explained. Management opinions can be shared. Union dues and strike risks can addressed. However, one of the most potent types of campaign communications tells the personal experiences of employees with unions. Employees who hear “the real story” from workers like themselves are likely to give greater weight to the message. The messenger, in this case, can be as important as the message.
