A common strategy for employers to help ensure compliance with various employment laws is to seek acknowledgments from employees concerning their terms and conditions of employment. Such efforts can have legal as well as practical value to an employer. An employee who admits that they are satisfied with the results of a harassment investigation, for example, may have a more difficult time thereafter proving that an investigation was ineffective.
