During the Obama administration, the National Labor Relations Board found employers in violation of the National Labor Relations Act if they maintained work rules, often as contained in employee handbooks, that employees might reasonably interpret as interfering with rights protected by the Act. In a new case, the Board, now constituted with a majority of more business‐friendly Republican members, has overruled one of the leading cases the Obama Board relied on to analyze work rules.
