Democrats have proposed legislation to revise labor laws to make them more union‐friendly. Of course, their bill has no chance of becoming law so long as there are Republican majorities in the legislature and a Republican president. However, the bill serves as a model prescription for fixing what Democrats and unions view as defects in current laws and indicates what could become new labor laws when Democrats are again in the majority.
